before i begin, let's all wish my dog good luck on her operation tomorrow, something not good with her hip. She's not in any pain, probably because she's retarded, but apparently her hip and legs are in some rough shape.
Woke up saturday morning early. 7 or 8ish. Jude and Daniele had left a note saying that they couldn't handle sleeping on the cold floor with no pillow/blanket. I felt like shit. oh well. Those of us who were going loaded into the van, got number #4 as i left and said thanks to our host and what not, and then i realized i forgot something, and on my return and subsequent regoodbye and thank you i got #5. Weird. I chose to sleep on the van ride over. I might have listened to white ladder or something else, i'm not quite sure. We stopped at a mcdonald's early on, and i got out of the car, and then i smelled the mcdonalds and wanted to vomit, so i went back into the van where i'd be free from the smell of fried food. I drifted in and out of sleep in the van, and everyone else got back 30 minutes later. At another rest stop, everyone left, and i had one of those psuedo dreams, i dreamt that we were pulling into the reststop and into an alley and brandon picked up a baby from a young couple. When i asked why we picked up a baby he only said "i'll tell you later," when the reality people came back to the van i was a little confused and was looking around for a baby. It was strange.
I slept some more. Until we got to the general notre dame area. It took us forever to get in and find a spot, off campus somewhere. As we were walking, some guy asked if we were bc or somesuch, and we started talking and he gave us beers. That was fun. Then we went to campus and to steph's parents' tailgate. I had a cold piece of fried chicken and set off to look for jude. An hour later i returned, friendless. Jude called at around 2pm. We set to meet. We met. I got a ticket for $30, the rest of the bostonians found tickets. WEnt to the game. I sat in the student section with jude and daniele and some godawful drunk girl who caused all sorts of horrible near-accidents when the nd kids were putting people up. BC got tromped, we shouldn't have chosen to receive the opening kickoff, that was dumb. After the game, met up with the kids, and underwent indecisive bad attitude hell. I won't go into now, because it's 3am, and i just spent the past hour in an aol chat room with the screenname "moistpanteez" and crushed the hopes and dreams of many young guys hoping to score. Some of the highlights were going with one guy for a while, and when he asked for a description, i said "tall dark and handsome" and he left. And another guy i convinced i was a cowgirl, and when he asked if i ever rode the "bucking broncos" i said "yeah, what really gets them going is when i stick my hand up their asshole and kick their balls with my spurs." he left too. Then another guy i was trying a lame re-enactment of k. thor's magical "ONLY POETRY CAN SAVE MY DAUGHER" bit, where i got up to the point where he had me stick 3 fingers in my vagina and i started to bleed, when then i did a "asda oh shit. WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY DAUGHER." that guy left. Everyone sucks.
Jude gave a tour of notre dame's finer points to a few of us, we hung out in recker's for a while, sean adam and I had a magical moment of unbelievable hilarity in the hospital cafeteria underneath the library which words can simply not describe. And then we left. Adam and I worked out a great arrangement. We were sharing a bench, but then he went down on the floor and laid out for sleeping, and i was able to lay out on the bench. I popped in The Band's Music from Big Pink, because i figured it'd be good sleeping music, and I guess it was. I didn't get past the first song. I started the CD 5 or 6 times on the ride home, and only once did i make it to the second track, and then i got no further. I slept basically the entire 12 hours home, it was wonderful. And thus ended the mini tour. Not with a bang, but a whimper. Whatever the hell that's supposed to mean.
