1 -
pyramid
so here is the promo for the radiohead album to come out in june.
i hear piano and some synthy strings and thom yorke. some eastern
strings. ooh, drums now. song isn't doing much. took a while for
the drum to pick a rhythm. Ok, it's built a bit, still just a piano
dirge with huge orchestra about going to heaven with all his lovers
and pasts and futures in a row boat.
2 - I Might Be Wrong
this is grooving. kind of a twangy tuned down guitar. ooh, nice
rhythm beep action. alright, can't understand thom, but i'm bopping
my head, and that's good. ooh, that line at 1:35 sounded like
another song. DMB "Let you down." yeah, that quick melody line
keeps coming up. Oooh nice cut at 3:50. Liked this a lot.
3 - Packt Like Sardines in a Chrusd Tin Box
sounds like weird pots and pan percussion. keyboard action. no
more pots, just clicks and electric beats. "i'm a reasonable man
get off my case." looks like i've heard it for lyrics. definitely
sounds like its a kid a session recording. sounds like shit,
optimistic? dunno kid a well enough to pick out by name. that was
fine.
4 - dollars and cents
got no lyrics and can't understand him. heavy percussion, pretty
thick arrangement. ah got lyrics. ooh creepy, "won't you quiet
down" over and over while thom is screaimng shit in the background.
this is good. whatever these lyrics are from, it's not the finished
version. Hooray for capitalism: "we are the dollar and cents and
the ponds and pence and we're gonna crack you little soul."
ok, looks like june should be some fun.
