so i'm back. also, i'm using the french version of dreamweaver since the trial ran out and the cracks weren't working. it's a good thing i don't actually do much aside from typing and saving in here, or else it might be a little difficult to get around.

last time i wrote i was preparing to go to pennsylvania for throwdown. i did that. it was a blast. just a lot of drunkenness. my personal highlights (those things i did that amused me thoroughly) had to be the creation of the "octalogalog" shape in a very large display of insobriety. a close second would be when it became "singing time" and i wasn't having it, so instead i sang all the solos but with super mario bros. specific lyrics. and they were all quite relevant to the game AND made contextual sense. for instance, (sung to "every breath you take) "in level 1-2 / all the bricks are blue / smash them with my head / stop all the goombas dead/ le-evel 1-2." that's pretty impressive for a very drunk guy to come up with on the spot, and it wasn't the only one by a long shot. non-personal highlights include midnight swimming. first time in over 4 years i've been swimming and it was great. also, the oh so surreal moment where the "fox meadow" song was performed. tom leyden brought it out, and i can't begin to describe or remember it, alls i know is that at the time i thought BRW managed fox meadow (turns out its fox point) and tom would just play guitar and then everyone would go "fox meadow" and it was scary and intriguing at the same time. john and i were, not suprisingly, the last up, at about 4 or 5 or so. hell of a time.

then came the dreaded ride back, which ruled. me sean katie and rich, which is just about a perfect car. we spent a long time listening to indian music and then decided that we could handle no more music, so we found this joke show on NPR which was awesome. it was just uhh, jokes. oh, and the "k-nock k-nock" song which was knock knock jokes and some old time guitar music. tres weird. then after NPR fun, we found delilah, who wasn't as hott as she was when we first found her, but it was still nice.

then this week.

monday was monday, then tim came up and he katie sean and i kicked it to maryann's and had a lovely time. then on tuesday i fell out of love with spanish class hearthrob because she did something that made her look like a stupid BC girl. but then i fell back in love with her last night, and now our future is uncertain because tomorrow is the final. sigh. i finish my final early so i can't even ask her out or something, because i'll be booking it in like 30 minutes. in a questionable state of sobriety last night i determined the only ways i could effectively ask her out would be to stalker-net her which is stalkerish, or to drop her a note as i leave tomorrow which is so sixth grade. so as usual, i will die alone.

tim was up yesterday still, and we went to maryann's again, which i think makes us bad people.
he was a fun time, glad he came up.

even though i missed ad frank on monday because of him

i visit the copley mall and newbury comics just about every day after work, but i think i've only got 2 cds this week. the first is the pretty girls make graves album. here's my take. PGMG are like and you will know us by the trail of the dead's younger sister. spunkier, cuter, less serious, fronted by a chick, etc. while trail of the dead was growing up, they were listening to television and sonic youth and unwound. Sis was too young for that and listened to more current stuff. Trail of the dead would never lend out his copy of daydream nation, but had no problem lending sis his les savy fav and fugazi records. and i've taken this metaphor far too far. the PGMG disc is a hell of a rock album. dig it.

i also picked up the "this is tech pop" comp from ministry of sound. uh-oh. i feel so naughty listening to it, but it's so great. i should've grown up in the 80's. hmm wait. i should've just been listening to erasure and new order and depeche mode and shit, because that's what people always reference when they talk about tech-pop/electroclash/new new wave whater the monikor. at if this sounds like that, then i'd have loved that. mm, it's just perfect late-night music too that makes me feel the way i do when i'm driving around in grand theft auto 3 at like 3am and "fade away" comes on.. i want to have this music playing in my room and night and have people come over and hear it, or throw a small party and have it playing. if i ever get a place with katie, my odds of doing this sort of thing improve greatly.

also, newbury comics WILL NOT EVER GET IN THE DNTEL EP. remixes of evan and chan, could anything BE more delicious?

ok, i'm going to go study more spanish or play videogames or listen to "naked drunk and horny" for the 8th time today.
